Bully Original Soundtrack

Bully glorifies violence, profanity, and plain old evil behavior, but you wouldn’t know that from the soundtrack. Multi-instrumentalist and all-around musicians’ musician Shawn Lee has provided a lighthearted, occasionally eerie backdrop for hijinx and tomfoolery, jumping from genre to genre just as he has on his other albums (Strings and Things, for example). Echoes of Mike Oldfield can be heard on glockenspiel-heavy tracks like “Bully Main Theme” and “Welcome to Bullworth,” Devo references aplenty can be found in the ramrod-straight synth beats of “Vendetta Nerds” and “Vendetta Greasers,” and there’s more than a hint of Prodigy in the oily techno of “Russell in the Hole.”
